yeah yeah. or the style. i remember when i was in junior high my english teacher gave me a passage (or is it section? whatever) to translate because she saw i was interested. it was i think from a jane austen book and i never finished it. but it was her mistake right? a 14 year old to translate jane austen?

at the time i was B1-B2 level i think. i could now but then it would have taken me more than double the time.

subs are not hard. though i did start with reign instead of a tv series that takes place in this century. but because i generally have problem with subs it was taking me forever to make an excellent result, one that even someone like me would approve.

Well, I always was wondering how they make subtitles - is it a team, do they see the lines or just hear and translate... and a few days ago bs player downloaded some subs that said in the end "if you want to make subtitles send an email here, blah-blah-blah.

yeah there are teams. or you can do it on your own. i could have done it by "hearing" i guess with the correct programme but i simply translated the english subs i fund while also listening to what was being said and how. it takes time. its not as simple as it sounds i think.
