- Το 21st Century Breakdown είναι ένα concept album, ένας δίσκος δηλαδή που μέσα από τα τραγούδια του λέει μια ιστορία. Το 21 Guns κάνει αναφορά στην σχέση του Christian με την Gloria, οι πρωταγωνιστές της υπόθεσεις, που μέσα από ανούσιους καυγάδεςκαι τσακωμούς περνάει μια κρίση.
Αλλά αν το δούμε και στον πιο προσωπικό τόμέα, αναφέρεται κυρίως στο χάος που επικρατεί γύρω μας..
