Chris Weitz: New Moon Like a “Victorian Narrative Painting”

MetroNews has a great new interview with New Moon director Chris Weitz. In it, he talks about some of the differences weʼll see in New Moon compared to Twilight, including the visual look of the movie–

Q. Youʼre a very visual director. Whatʼs your vision for New Moon?

A. Weʼve got an amazing visual effects team. The whole idea is to use the full palette of colors, to have our shadows be very dark and to have our colours be very rich so that we can experience the full range of emotional texture. The idea is that this will look like a Victorian narrative painting in a way, with those medieval jewel-like colours as well as very glossy deep blacks, and for the composition of the frames to be classical. In some ways, this is going to be a rather old-fashioned film. There are elements that incorporate the latest technology and there are things that are very dynamic in the action scenes. But itʼs more Dr. Zhivago than Iron Man.

Cam Gigandet to Play another Vampire in “Priest” Adaptation

June 10, 2009 Cam Gigandet is set to play another vampire role, following up on his Twilight stint, according to MTV–

“Twilight” villain Cam Gigandet will make the leap onto the paneled page with a starring role in “Priest” based on the TokyoPop comic book series, says The Hollywood Reporter — and heʼs taking his blood-sucking sensibilities with him.

Directed by Charles Stewart, “Priest” is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires and follows a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.

3 παρατηρήσεις μόνο γιατί έχω να πάω να διαβάσω :P
1. Καλά, το αγόρι του βίντεο είχε πιο υστερικές αντιδράσεις από ΌΛΕΣ τις κοπέλες!
2. Η κοπελιά που σε όλο το βίντεο ήταν έτσι --> απλά ΘΕΑ!!!!!!!
3. Λοιπόν, την αντίδραση της χοντρούλας που ήτανμόνη και ήτνα έτοιμη να κλάψει και στο τέλος δεν ανέπνεε και καλά την παρατηρήσατε? Κάπως έτσι ήμουν κι εγώ όταν διάβαζα για πρώτη φορά το New Moon στην σκηνή που την αφήνει ο Edward... Έτσι ακριβώς! Έτοιμη να βάλω τα κλάμματα, βουρκωμένη, με ένα-δύο δάκρυα να σιγοτρέχουν και στο τέλος ανέπνεα με τόση δυσκολία! :shy:

Καλά, ο τυπάκος και το 3ο λεπτό ήταν όλα τα λευτά..

Και εγω με αυτον τον τυπο γελασα πολυ!!
Και με 2 κοριστα που εδειχνε,και η μια εκλαιγε !

Μερικοι ειναι υπερβολικοι!
Εγω δεν εκανα ετσι :P !
Ενθουσιαστικα,αλλα δεν το εδειξα γιατι εκεινη την στιγμη το τραβουσα βιντεο με το κινητο μου,και εκανα υσηχια για να βγει ωραιο το βιντεο !

Τονια,εγω δεν εκανα ετσι στην Νεα Σεληνη σε αυτο το σημειο .Γιατι απλα ημουν σιγουρη οτι καποια στιγμη θα τα ξαναφτιαχαν !

Μερικες αντιδρασεις ηταν ιδιες με τις δικες μου.
Η τσιριδα της κοπελα που οταν ειδα το κοπροσκυλο σκωθηκε πανω υστερικα, ηταν ολα τα λεφτα!

Καλα το αγορι.... ΟΜΕ!




Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner Lobbied for Mike Newton Scene

Check out this new article on MTV where the cast talks a bit about some of the scenes they shot for new Moon, including a last-minute addition for Michael Welch:

“Kristen [Stewart] and Taylor [Lautner] had to lobby to get this one scene in the film that wasnʼt originally in — and I am forever indebted to them for that,” revealed Mike Welch, citing a beloved moment from Stephenie Meyerʼs “New Moon” novel. “Thereʼs a scene thatʼs in the book, the three-way date between Jacob and Bella and Mike, where Mike ends up getting sick, and itʼs just very awkward.”

As for how physically ill Welchʼs Mike Newton gets in the comic-relief scene, he said we shouldnʼt expect projectile vomit or anything. “Weʼre talking a little bit,” he laughed. “A little sick.”

On Rob Pattinsonʼs fame: “Oh God. Poor Rob is already a Beatle. His whole life is documented. If he picks his nose, itʼs all over the Internet. Heʼs just done for. I think heʼs kinda freakinʼ out, like, ʽWhat the fuck is going on?ʼ”

But she gets chased by paparazzi, too: “You donʼt want to have your picture taken when youʼre coming out of a club all wasted. Itʼs tough… I get a call from my mom in the morning, and she says, ʽSo I see you went out again last night.ʼ I might as well have a GPS chip in my skin, but no, I have the Internet.”

Interview with Kristen Stewart from the Set of New Moon

MetroNews has another in their ongoing series of interviews from the set of New Moon. This time, itʼs an interview with New Moon heroine Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan–

What are the changes in this second installment? Your character Bella takes risks again…
Well, she loses what basically gives her the drive to do anything in her whole life. She loses the man sheʼs in love with, but she also loses her entire life plan, and sheʼs so young to have to be forced into a decision like that. Itʼs just a glorified, elaborate version of the worst breakup youʼve ever been through. All of a sudden you question everything. All of a sudden you know nothing and youʼre dropped in the middle of a freezing cold ocean.
Oddly, we have a character thatʼs warm enough and bright enough to bring her out of that, and itʼs truly gut-ripping. Because as perfect as Jacob is for her, she holds on to an ideal, the ultimate fiery love that she has for Edward even though itʼs not comfortable, itʼs not practical and itʼs not a good idea. So itʼs really a very strong thing to do. It takes someone who really trusts themselves.

Jackson Rathbone Looking Forward to Eclipse

Jackson Rathbone was asked why they didnʼt get much into his backstory during New Moon, and he told TeenMag–

“Well it doesnʼt really come out too much in the book. Itʼs one of those things were itʼs understood but in the third book it really comes out like the back story and everything.

“I think one of the things we didnʼt want to get too much into was focusing on all the other vampires.

“We wanted really to establish this relationship and how she (Bella) gets sucked into the world of the Cullen family and once sheʼs in the world thatʼs when things kind of start coming out.

“One of the things about Jasper is he doesnʼt use the ability all the time. Itʼs something that heʼs very strict about using because itʼs like an invasion of privacy to make someone feel something, to manipulate emotions.”

Νεα δεκα δευτερολεπτων: Η Ρομπ με την Ελιζαμπεθ Ρισερ (βλ. Esme) τον φιλο του Tom και την Eva Mendes were spotted στην Ν.Υ. σε ενα μπαρ για πιτσες. Αχ ποσο θελω κι εγω τωρα μια. Εμφανιστηκε κλασσικα με εκεινο το καρο μπλε πουκαμισο που ολοι ξερουμε και το σκισμενο στο αριστερο ποδι τζιν του. Η Dakota με την Kris μπηκαν σε ενα μπαρακι ενω προσπαθουσαν να γλιτωσουν απο τους παπαρατσι.
