Οι Blind Guardian είναι ένα γερμανικό μουσικό συγκρότημα που ιδρύθηκε στα μέσα της δεκαετίας του '80 στη δυτική Γερμανία. Το συγκρότημα ασκεί μεγάλη επιρροή στο χώρο του heavy metal, ιδιαίτερα στα ιδιώματα του speed metal και power metal. Οι στίχοι των τραγουδιών τους γράφονται από τον τραγουδιστή του συγκροτήματος Hansi Kursh, ο οποίος εμπνέεται κυρίως από έργα των συγγραφέων Τζ. Ρ. Ρ. Τόλκιν, Στίβεν Κινγκ, Τζωρτζ Ρ.Ρ. Μάρτιν και Μάικλ Μούρκοκ, όπως επίσης από διάφορους παραδοσιακούς θρύλους.
